the story behind the welcome
We invest in your story.
CityHeART is a Long Beach home for art, practical support, shared food, and the relationships that help a person feel seen.

room to grow
A community arts nonprofit
The work begins with welcome.
People arrive with full lives: joy, grief, questions, talent, fatigue, hope. We do not ask anyone to become a different kind of person before they belong here. We offer a table, a creative invitation, and a way to find the next right resource. Every neighbor is a co-author of what comes next.
Art can hold what ordinary conversation cannot. Food can make a room feel less formal. A garden reminds us that care is shared, seasonal, and worth tending.
The story-centered HeART Bridge Model is how CityHeART applies this belief to everything it does: building relational, dignity-centered pathways where community members remain the heroes of their own stories.
no saviors. no spectators.
This story is ours to write together—with neighbors as artists, hosts, teachers, gardeners, advocates, and co-authors.
